Tacos: Authentic, Festive & Flavorful

My new cookbook Tacos: Authentic, Festive & Flavorful is now out. You can buy it right here and I’ll sign it however and to whoever you like and mail it directly. To order, just click on the Tacos book banner to the right. You will be directed to my secure PayPal page (it says Duende Publishing) where you can order. And what’s good for me is that I (the poor, starving author!) get more of the money from each sale. Of course, if you want to buy it from one of the websites, please do. But it will never have been touched by my taco-stained hands! The price is $16.95 + $3.00 S/H = $19.95.

Below, you can read the table of contents and some blurbs and reviews about Tacos: Authentic, Festive & Flavorful. Thanks for your interest. Peace, Love & Tacos.

Here is the blurb from the Sasquatch Books website:

“Celebrate one of America’s favorite family dishes in this entertaining and informative cookbook, filled with delicious recipes for tacos. From old standby dishes to taco truck favorites to more ambitious varieties like the Spicy Hot Fudge Taco, this book contains something for every fan of a dish that’s both simple and soul-satisfying. Taco obsessive Scott Wilson includes such delights as tacos de cazuela (a slow-cooked filling heaped straight from the pot onto tortillas), sautéed tacos, and fried tacos. Along with meat and vegetarian options, recipes include appropriate sides, salsas, drinks, and desserts. Featuring color photographs throughout, this complete cookbook also discusses how to make tortillas from scratch and contains sidebars that explore the more exotic tacos and ingredients, and a guide to creating your own taco party.”

From the liner notes in the book:

“Take a corn or flour tortilla. Add your choice of rice, beans, shredded cheese, pickled jalapeños, onions, you name it. Now it’s time for the main filling–beef, pork, fish, or sautéed veggies are just a few options. Pour on salsa, maybe some guacamole or sour cream, then fold it up. In your hands, you have a taco–easy to prepare, made to your specifications, and oh-so-yummy.

This book shows how to make the best tacos you’ll ever eat. Try out such variations as Beef Meatball Taco in Guajillo Sauce, Chorizo and Cactus Taco Dorado, and Garlic-Wild Mushroom Taco with Creamed Corn and Morita Salsa. There’s even a Spicy Hot Fudge Taco recipe for dessert.”

Also Included:

Recipes for salsas, side dishes, and aguas frescas.

Advice on how to create your own tortillas.

Tips for throwing your own taco party.

First Review On Amazon.com

I just received my copy of Scott Wilson’s book Tacos, and I am absolutely delighted. I am a good cook who loves cooking authentic Mexican food. I am drooling. This book will add depth and dimension to my taco skills. Wilson’s pursuit of taco truck cuisine and home style Mexican food is very similar to my own love affair the food of Mexico.
